Annual Campaign Coordinator

Position Summary
The Annual Campaign Coordinator provides key administrative support, communication and organizational skills to the annual giving team and is responsible for providing key project support to the Annual Giving department’s lead generation and gift acquisition strategies that are aligned with desired outcomes. The Annual Campaign Coordinator interacts with and provides customer service to alumni, donors, and volunteers as well as university administrators including deans, department heads, professional staff and faculty.

Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Work in partnership with KSUF staff to support the execution of various lead generation and gift acquisition pieces and activities that build partnerships to further the mission of the Foundation and support the KSUF brand while meeting the strategic goals and budgetary guidelines.
  2. Provide support to Director of Annual Giving and Assistant Director of Annual Giving through effective use of the university’s prospect management database and software systems to assist in analysis and data management. Provide technical and administrative assistance to support evaluation tactics for lead generation and gift acquisition outcomes.
  3. Support the director and associate director in activities associated with third party vendors.
  4. Oversee the Student Foundation membership experience, serving as primary point of contact for Student Foundation members and providing administrative support as needed.
  5. Prepare expense reporting for Annual Giving staff and reconcile with monthly credit card statement. Annual Campaign Coordinator Page 2 of 3
  6. Support completion of tasks specifically related to multi-channel Annual Giving planning and execution, K-State Proud, Faculty/Staff Philanthropy, Senior Sidewalk, and other campaigns and programs as assigned.
  7. Maintain confidentiality regarding all correspondence and mail related to the foundation and its donors.
  8. Other work related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years professional work experience in a professional office with focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a diverse donor base, university partners, foundation colleagues and peers through verbal and written means.
  • A valid motor vehicle operator's license and acceptable driving record required.

Physical Demands:

  • Work is primarily sedentary. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. May require occasional physical exertion such as long periods of sitting or standing; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to prioritize and organize projects and plans to deliver results.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on projects.
  • Experience with non-profits, ideally in higher education.
  • Service oriented approach with the ability to listen and translate the needs of the donor into action.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for the university, the mission of the foundation and the various programs and campaigns.
  • Driven and hard working.
  • Proficient use of programs in the Microsoft Office suite.
